  • On June 27th, birth of his first son Laurin Finn in Vienna.

  • Production and release of Axel Wolph’s official solo debut album "Wedding Songs" (United Indies/UMPG/monkeymoods). First US radio-campaign gaining rotation on more than a hundred radio stations in the USA - first charts- entries - #2 of CMJ Charts in Seattle, WA. First gigs on the US Westcoast.
  • Production and release of CD and vinyl Axel Wolph "Poet With A Punk's Heart" (United Indies/UMPG/monkey.moods) - again Rotation on about 150 US radio stations. The single/video "Johnny & Mary" gains about 100000 views on YouTube within a couple of weeks.
  • On November 13th Axel marries his longtime partner Athena Areti Wolph (b. Werbik) in Beverly Hills, CA.
  • Again staying in California, CA for about three months playing gigs and recording new songs for the album "The Weekend Starts On Wednesday" (United Indies/UMPG).
  • August 24th, birth of their second son Matti Theodor in Vienna.
  • Production and release of the 70s California Pop influenced album "The Weekend Starts On Wednesday" in Vienna and Los Angeles. Airplay and rotation on about 150 US radio stations.
  • Production of “Mit einmal war es da”, the debut album of a singer/songwriter from Hamburg, Germany called Heinrich von Handzahm.
  • Production und release of the album "Suddenly There Was Peace And All That Terrible Noise Was Gone With The Wind, My Hands Lying Still On Top Of My Feeltank" (United Indies/UMPG/monkey.moods). First East to West Coast radio campaign in the USA gains airplay and rotation on more than 200 radio stations. The single "No One In His World" gains some airplay and rotation on European stations as well. Great reviews - e.g. 7 stars out 6 (!) in NOW! magazine.
  • Back in Los Angeles for another two months stay. Recording sessions at the legendary Ocean Way Studios (now EastWest Studios) together with producer Bernie Penzias and drummer Jonathan “Butch” Norton (The Eels, Lucinda Williams, Fiona Apple, etc…), playing gigs, for the first time at LA’s hotspot for singer/songwriters “The Hotel Cafe” in Hollywood, CA.
  • Winning ORF’s (Austria’s biggest broadcast company) call for proposals for the station ID music of their new channel “ORF III - Kultur & Information”
  • Following jobs for ORF, containing a 15 minutes composition for a news Channel program called “Tages Aktuell”, realized together with friend and film composer Gerrit Wunder in Los Angeles, CA.
  • Back in Los Angeles for another three months stay. Recording new songs together with music producer Danny Kalb (Ben Harper, Beck), playing a gig together with Butch Norton at legendary LA live club "Molly Malone's" in Hollywood
  • Winning ORF’s call for proposals for the new ID music of their annual charity campaign called “Licht ins Dunkel”
  • Creating the first edition of the “Licht ins Dunkel”-CD (monkey.music/ORF/Universal), an annual compilation of Austria’s best music, together with former publisher and friend Walter Gröbchen
  • Release of the Axel Wolph song collection "LVOE - 13 Months, 13 Songs" (United Indies). Live presentation at the renowned concert hall Casino Baumgarten in Vienna.
  • Production and art direction of the first “Licht ins Dunkel” compilation CD.
