First of all: To me, my 2015 built new studio is a dream come true. Definitely. Fortunately. Lots of work and lots of LVOE. It's set up in our remodelled 1757 country house in Aschach at the River Danube, Austria, EU (about 75 minutes by train to Vienna, same distance to Munich/Germany by the way...).
Hand-carved and -chopped wooden ceilings made in 1814, oak wood floors,...all acousticly isolated from the outside world which means that you can still pump up the volume with your band at three in the morning and the cats, martens, snakes and snails outside won't get it. One big (approx. 60 m2) all-in-one recording and mixing room with mobile acoustic tools and one isolated extra recording room (15m2). Lots of breath-taking nature around. Quiet hood. 1800 m2 garden. Numerous relaxing areas and places of power available. 2 summer/guest houses. 2 guest rooms in our house. Many affordable and nice, clean guesthouses only a stone's throw away.
Selected audio gear - no analog console, but analog sounding circuits and setup. Total recall and Pro Tools system instead of cranky modules and electricity hogs. This is a music playground and workspace featuring great sounding workhorses - this spot is NOT a studio gear museum. I am not a collector. I am a producer, I need to rely on my gear, day in and day out.
Here is our gearlist:
